Please note that you are to submit all required forms to the Board in a complete package when applying for a certificate. Incomplete applications will be returned.

PURSUANT TO 5 U.S.C. 552a, THE KANSAS BOARD OF ACCOUNTANCY ADVISES YOU THAT SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS PROVIDED TO THE BOARD PURSUANT TO K.S.A. 74-148 AND 74-139 MAY BE PROVIDED TO THE KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE, UPON REQUEST, OR MAY BE USED FOR CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES.

If applying for a certificate by reciprocity, you will need form numbers 2, 4, 5. If you have never taken the AICPA ethics exam, or another ethics exam recognized by the Board (California, Colorado, Texas), you also will need form number 6. The fee for the certificate is $250.00.

Please note that you are to submit all required forms for a permit to the Board in a complete package when applying for a permit. Incomplete applications will be returned. You may apply for an initial permit at the same time as applying for a certificate.

NOTE: IN ADDITION TO THE INDIVIDUAL LICENSURE REQUIREMENT, FIRMS (WHICH INCLUDES INCORPORATED SOLE PRACTITIONERS), BOTH IN-STATE AND OUT OF STATE, MUST REGISTER WITH THE BOARD. UNINCORPORATED SOLE PRACTITIONERS, BOTH IN-STATE AND OUT OF STATE SUBJECT TO PEER REVIEW, ALSO MUST REGISTER WITH THE BOARD.
